Scott Bader isA Champion for Public Safety.
Two-term council member, longtime Everett resident, and a steady, collaborative voice for safe neighborhoods, a strong economy, and a city that works for everyone.
When Everett is safe,
everything else falls into place.
Scott believes that putting public safety first enables the other pieces that make Everett a great place to live, work, and play. On the Council, he has turned that belief into results.

Real challenges. Greater opportunities.
Experienced & Effective Leadership
Decades of helping people, solving problems, and moving Everett forward. Scott stays open and accessible to every stakeholder while delivering results.
Promoting Public Safety
A balanced approach that pairs strong law enforcement with social services, confronts homelessness, addiction, and mental illness head-on, and gives first responders the tools they need.
Strengthening Our Economy
Family-wage jobs, new investment, and a reliable, customer-focused city government. Zoning that expands workforce housing, continued investment in roads, parks, and transit, and Everett Link stations that serve residents, housing, and business.
Quality of Life
Sound financial decisions that fund green spaces, transit, police, and fire. Public-private partnerships and smart management, like the City clinic that lowered employee benefit costs, so every dollar supports the whole community.
Everett born, Everett raised,Everett for life.
Scott grew up in the Cascade View neighborhood in South Everett and graduated from Cascade High School. He and his wife, Jeanette, raised their three children here and bought their "forever" home in the Riverside neighborhood.
His passion for this city has shaped decades of community involvement. He co-founded the Cascade View neighborhood association, has been an engaged leader in Riverside, and volunteered on the city's transportation and shoreline access committees, advocating for policy changes that improved quality of life. He chaired the committee that brought the Fourth of July parade back to downtown Everett, a celebration of military personnel, emergency responders, and the civic organizations that make the city work.
Scott has served two terms on the Everett City Council, where he earned a reputation for doing his homework, pursuing a collaborative approach, and finding common ground. His colleagues elected him Council President and Vice President twice each, a sign of the trust he built across the dais.
He graduated from the University of Washington and earned his law degree from the University of Puget Sound / Seattle University School of Law. He is active in his church and serves as Director of Parish Financial Services for the Archdiocese of Seattle.
